UNMASk with emdr
Many of us became versions of ourselves we had to be — the achiever, the caretaker, the perfectionist — just to feel safe, accepted, or in control. These identities often formed as protective responses to trauma, rejection, or chronic invalidation. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a powerful therapy that helps release the emotional charge of those past experiences, so they no longer dictate how you show up in the present. With EMDR, we can gently work through the core wounds that made it feel unsafe to be fully seen. As the armor comes off — the masking, the people-pleasing, the constant scanning for what others need — what's left is your authentic self: whole, worthy, and no longer bound by old survival patterns.
