how do you cope

Struggling with Overwhelm, Life Transitions, or Emotional Dysregulation?

Whether you're navigating stress, major life transitions, managing a mental health diagnosis, or grieving the loss of a loved one — you may be feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions, racing thoughts, or patterns of behavior that no longer serve you.

If this sounds familiar, know that you’re not alone — and there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Most of us were never taught how to regulate our emotions, support our nervous systems, or communicate our needs in healthy, connected ways. Many of us feel isolated, craving deeper connection but unsure how to build or maintain meaningful relationships.

In my mental health sessions, we begin with the foundations. Together, we assess six core areas of coping skills — identifying what you already do well and where you need more support. These areas are designed to support emotional resilience, reduce daily distress, and promote long-term healing.

My approach is directive and evidence-based. Sessions include psychoeducation, practical tools, and structured strategies that you’re encouraged to implement between appointments. You'll learn to apply emotional regulation techniques, track the impact of small changes, and deepen your understanding of how your mind and body respond to stress and healing.

This work requires your participation — but it also empowers you with skills that last a lifetime.

Discover the Power of EMDR Therapy for Trauma, PTSD, and Emotional Healing

If you’ve found yourself here, it could be a sign that it’s time to pause, reflect, and begin the process of healing your past. Whether you're struggling with past trauma, unresolved emotional pain, or symptoms of PTSD, EMDR therapy offers a powerful, research-backed path forward.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy proven to help individuals recover from PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related symptoms. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful memories, allowing you to recall past events without emotional overwhelm.

From a clinical perspective, EMDR therapy helps rewire the nervous system—specifically the part of the brain responsible for storing traumatic memories. It transforms those overwhelming experiences into memories that no longer control your emotions or reactions.

From a more holistic or spiritual lens, EMDR is like emotional time travel—a chance to return to those moments in your past where you needed comfort, support, and validation, but didn’t receive it.

If you could go back to one moment in your life and give yourself the love and safety you needed—what moment would that be?
